Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Tim Hendricks

Dr Tim Hendricks received his undergraduate degree in Cell Biology from the University of Georgia and his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry.

He and his wife reside in Richmond Hill with their three children.  In his free time he enjoys flying and enjoying our beautiful coast with his family.

Dr. Emily Brown

Dr. Emily Brown studied Zoology at Eastern Illinois University, and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 2004.

She joins Low Country Eye Care after spending 10 years in a medically-based practice in South Carolina where she has gotten tremendous experience treating glaucoma and other ocular diseases. Dr Brown has been seeing patients in the Hinesville office for over 10 years.

Dr. Todd Schnobrich

Dr. Todd Schnobrich received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maine and his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 1997.

After completing his residency at Boston VA Outpatient Clinic he then went on to work at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Schnobrich also practiced in Statesboro, GA before relocating offices to Pooler and Richmond Hill, GA.

Dr. Melinda Dang

Dr. Melinda Dang graduated from Southern College of Optometry with highest honors in 2018 and completed her undergraduate studies at Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2013. She received awards for clinical excellence during her time at Southern College. She previously worked at an ophthalmology practice prior to joining Low Country Eye.

Dr. Dang has extensive experience in fitting scleral contact lenses and has taught a continuing education course to optometrists in the community. She also has an interest in humanitarian work and has traveled to Colombia, Mexico, Belize, and the Dominican Republic to provide eye care to those in need.

Dr. Dang is a Savannah native and currently resides in Ludowici with her husband and two cats. She enjoys painting, traveling, and weight training. Dr Dang sees patients in our Hinesville location.

Dr. Kacy W. Barker

Dr. Barker received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Mathematics from Florida State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2012.

She completed two internships in Ocular Disease and Primary Care Optometry at Malcom Randall VAMC in Gainesville, FL and Eye Associates of South Georgia in Valdosta, GA. She currently resides in Pooler, GA with her husband, three boys, and a dog. In her free time, she likes to run or read a good book.  Dr. Barker sees patients at our Pooler location.

Dr. Emily Champion

Dr. Emily Champion is originally from Chattanooga, TN, and moved to the Savannah area shortly after graduating from Illinois College of Optometry in 2019.  Her clinical rotations included the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, Georgia Eye Partners and Marietta Eye Clinic in Atlanta, and WJB Dorn VAMC in Columbia, SC.  She enjoys primary care optometry, and plans to expand to more specialty contact lens fittings in the near future. 

She is a painfully loyal Tennessee Volunteer, and she has high hopes for this year’s football season (every season).  In her free time, Dr Emily Champion, her husband, and her daughter enjoy exploring Savannah with their rescued fur-babies, Odie and Mack, playing pickleball, and taking advantage of the nearby beaches. Dr Champion sees patients in our Pooler and Richmond Hill locations.

Dr. Kristin Wolfe

Dr. Kristin Wolfe received her undergraduate degree in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Wolfe enjoys seeing all ages, but is passionate about pediatrics and vision therapy. She resides in Pooler with her husband along with her mini dachshund and cat. Dr Wolfe sees patients in our Richmond Hill location.
